Oh yeah! I am not sure how common, but it was and my worst symptom. I always I am 11 weeks. I thought to start later in pregnancy. I moved into my new apartment this weekend after 10 / 1 and I happened on 9 / 22. I am sure had a hand movement to the batter, but not usually back pain by doing things (I'm more of a pain in the knee, pain foot person). I had to take a break and lay on the floor b / c it hurt so bad. EDIT::: I also had cramps up what I was also 9 weeks. So, back pain and cramping does not always mean period. I wonder now if my back pain is sciatica, but may be too early for that.
